It’s an especially great day to be Cameron Whitcomb or Josh Ross. Both artists top this year’s nominations with six nods each. Cameron landed major praise from the Canadian Country Music Association with nominations for Male Artist of the Year, Entertainer of the Year, Breakthrough Artist or Group of the Year, Songwriter(s) of the Year, Single of the Year, and Fans’ Choice, while Josh earned noms for Male Artist of the Year, Entertainer of the Year, Video of the Year, Single of the Year, Musical Collaboration of the Year, and Fans’ Choice.
Also highly acclaimed this year, Brett Kissel (Male Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Video of the Year, Single of the Year, Fans’ Choice) and Owen Riegling (Entertainer of the Year, Album of the Year, Songwriter(s) of the Year, Single of the Year, Fans’ Choice) each picked up five nominations.
Now, it’s your turn: Ahead of this year’s ceremonies in Kelowna, B.C. on Sept. 13, audiences can help choose the Breakthrough Artist or Group of the Year (Noeline Hoffman, Zach McPhee, Sacha, Tony Stevens, Cameron Whitcomb) and the Fans’ Choice (Jade Eagleson, High Valley, Brett Kissel, Tyler Joe Miller, MacKenzie Porter, The Reklaws, Owen Riegling, Josh Ross, Dallas Smith, Cameron Whitcomb) winners by casting their daily vote at ccma.org/fanvoting.
This year’s nominees and country music industry peers had the chance to celebrate their recognitions during an afternoon (July 17) mixer at The Porch in Toronto, which featured a performance by three-time CCMA 2025 nominee Madeline Merlo.
Previously announced performers for the main show include Madeline with Tyler Joe Miller, Sacha with Restless Road, Dallas Smith with Alexandra Kay, Thelma & James (MacKenzie Porter and Jake Etheredge), and Cameron Whitcomb.
The 2025 CCMA Awards, hosted by actor-comedian Tom Green, air live on CTV from Kelowna, B.C. on Sept. 13.
