Cameron Whitcomb for "Kingdom of Fear"

Cameron Whitcomb lands first Billboard Hot 100 entry with “Kingdom of Fear”

One of the leading U.S. music charts is no longer a “kingdom of fear” for Cameron Whitcomb. The Canadian country singer’s latest viral single has made him a first-timer on the Billboard Hot 100, debuting this week at No. 96 (chart dated June 20, 2026).

Breaking out on American Idol in 2022, Whitcomb, now an established rising star and two-time CCMA and Juno winner, returned to the Idol stage last month amidst the track’s growing buzz for a well-received finale performance of the song with contestant Brooks. “Kingdom of Fear” has since climbed to the top of the iTunes charts on both sides of the border and received a shout out in Spotify’s songs of the summer predictions, where Whitcomb reps Canada alongside Drake.

In a video shared by Billboard Charts, Whitcomb celebrated the milestone and shared with his fans, “It’s been a long time coming, so I’m very grateful and thank you so much for everything. It’s No. 95 right now, so keep listening!”
