Hot Ticket Tuesday: LP Giobbi announces $4 show in Toronto for good cause

Acclaimed DJ, producer, pianist, and music curator LP Giobbi is making a stop at Toronto’s The Opera House on July 16 for a special one-off show in the midst of her packed summer schedule — and tickets start at just $4.

Dubbed “Democratizing Dance Music 4 Everyone,” the show, which will feature an opening set by Mascolo, supports her artistic mission of making live electronic music more accessible while giving fans and fellow artists a chance to give back. “Because dance music belongs to everyone. As it was. As it should be,” writes LP Giobbi on Instagram, thanking an unnamed partner for helping her do “something rare” in the city.

A portion of proceeds will benefit FEMME HOUSE, her nonprofit organization that is working to empower the next generation of “femme and gender expansive music producers and DJs” through music education and more equitable opportunities in the industry.

While tickets start at $4, the final ticket price will come in at $10, inclusive of fees and the charitable donation. If you act fast and snag a ticket, get ready to experience one of dance music’s most dynamic performers during one of this Toronto summer’s most special electronic shows.

See you on the dance floor!
