Lindsay Ell sprinkles “magic” on fans at Toronto acoustic performance

In between touring with Shania Twain as her lead guitarist and promoting her solo music, Canadian country singer Lindsay Ell took a Monday night (July 14) in Toronto to bring the living room vibes to an intimate acoustic performance.

For 40 minutes, Lindsay stripped things back at The Academy at Umusic and shared the personal stories behind her songs, giving fans and industry influencers a closer look at her creative process. Her latest single “magic” shimmered in its rawest form, while a special preview of tracks from her upcoming fall EP ‘fence sitter’ (including our new favourite “good guy” — more on that in the future!) hinted at the next evolution of her bold, honest sound.

Complementing the familiar tracks and new teasers, Lindsay took fan requests for throwbacks “pain tolerance” and “Right on Time,” reminding everyone just how strong her connection with her audience is — and how versatile she is with nothing but a guitar, a microphone, and a story.
